How Tips Work
1. Tipster
Contact Crime Stoppers and leaves an anonymous tip. No identifying information is collected, transmitted, or stored.
2. Assigned Tip Number
The tipster is then assigned and given a tip number.
3. Double-Check
The tip is scrubbed by the Crime Stopper Coordinator to ensure no identifying information is contained within the tip.
4. You've Got Mail
The tip narrative is then sent to the law enforcement agency.
5. Investigation
After the investigation concludes, the agency provides disposition of the tip.
6. Reward
Crime Stoppers board of directors determines and approves the reward.
7. Payday
The tipster takes a confidential ID# to use for your reward.
8. A Safe Community
We all receive the benefit of safety!
